It's really soft & thick without being heavy. Plus I've washed it and it does not shed, thank goodness. I looked at (5) regular retail stores and couldn't find anything that had those qualities. The only reason I gave it only (4) stars was it is blue on one side and olive green on the other, both pretty colors I just would have liked them to be the same.
