Gramicci Highline Trail Jaya Pants By Sparky from Hockessin DE on 12/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Belt a little clumsy with different clasp mechanism than most Gramicci pants, but other than that really like them.
Comfortable, but poor design By Steve from Puget Sound, WA on 12/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Poor Material or Construction Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like wearing these pants, but find that they are not durable. The barrel-lock-adjustable cuffs don't hang naturally when the tension is released (in normal wear). I like an integrated belt, but to have a belt that disconnects (unlike standard Gramicci fare) seems to make no sense since the waistband does not open. Instead, it just leaves the fragile waistband vulnerable. The fabric is fairly lightweight and within a day, the waistband began to rip in front. After unbuckling the belt, if one does not loosen it all the way, it takes any waistband tension encountered when removing the pants and transfers it to vulnerable spot in front (behind the buckle), the only waistband spot not reinforced by the belt.
I find using this belt system frustrating and damaging to the pants. The price was good, but if I had it to do over again, I would pass on them.
By Gramicci friend from Washington on 11/13/2009 Cons: Poor Fit, Poor Material or Construction Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered a size up and couldn't even slip over my legs. Actually, when I tried, the waste ripped right where the internal belt connects. Probably not a good purchase even if you are a Gramicci fan, like me...not for any price.
