By Connie S from Washington State on 03/16/2008 Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: While this is an attractive boot, it is too tight across the seam line so I am unable to wear them. I intend to return them.
By DJ from Louisville, KY on 03/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you plan to wear socks with these boots you need to get a size larger than your actual shoe size. But you really do not need socks, since they are fur-lined; leggings or stockings are sufficient.
Pretty boots with some sizing issues By Athena Persephoni from Minneapolis on 01/24/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Cute, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Winter wear Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Pluses: Very good-looking boots, very hardy (like a fashionable version of a work boot), warm (good for stomping through snow)
Minuses: These boots really need half sizes. I'm a size 8 with narrow feet (though not narrow enough to warrant narrow-size shoes). I bought the size 9 thinking I could layer my feet with socks. The 9 was way too long, though the width was fine, confirming other reviewers who said these boots ran narrow. I then bought the size 8; they are just a tiny bit too short (my toes bump against the top a lot).
I'm keeping them anyway because I figure use will stretch them out, plus they're warm without wearing multiple socks, very hardy, and very practical while being pretty and non-clunky. (My mom loves her boots, BTW.)
