No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It would have helped to have a little elastic in the waist. The accompanying belt cinches up the shorts in an unbecoming manner; the waist pooches out in between the belt loops. I can't wear these unless I wear a long shirt to conceal the hillbilliesque waistline. If I don't wear a belt, these shorts will fall off entirely.
