Comments: Purchased this for backpacking, 70 lb lab mix. Was great for use, but needed extra attention to clean wet food (dehydrated food mixed with dry kibble) from the folds inside. Didn't care for the draw string feature, so cut that out.

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: This is a very well made bowl and it seems durable and is a useful size. However, the flap that is supposed to cinch up does not even come close to closing and there is no way to pull it shut if your intention is to keep food in it when you and your dog are on the move. So it ends up being a conventional soft travel bowl with an extraneous flap that is useless and that you must fold inside the bowl in order for your dog to eat or drink from it. If you keep the flap on the outside it makes it too tall or high for it to be useful. That said the material appears to be rip-stop nylon and the stitching seems to be very strong. And it is made in the Phillipines, not China if that matters. However, I am still not certain I am going to keep it due to the "flap" issue.
