Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Mixed wet snow and scree, Sloppy conditions

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Definately not the boots you want to wear on a day hike or even a weekend backpacking trip. I bring them along only if I am going to be climbing snow/ice slopes because they are wonderful with support and allow my crampons to really hug them. For what they are designed (light mountaineering) they are the best boots you'll get.
