Overstock. These beautiful Alico leather hiking boots are true classics. These boots are made of top quality, full grain leather and are crafted by a small factory of artisans located in the Italian Dolomites.Insole is moisture-wicking synthetic. Fully gusseted tongue keeps out debris. Sturdy Norwegian welt construction is resoleable. Vibram® sole. Nylon and steel half-shank. Height: 5½"Weight: 3 lb. 4 oz. pr. Overstock. Italy.

Classic boots, break them in By trail traveler from Princeton, NJ on 07/07/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction Cons: No cusion in insoles, Not Water Resistant, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Day Hiking, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these for day hiking doing 8-12 miles with a 10-15 pound backpack. They are very well made and I like the fact that they don't have Gore-Tex. I've had terrible luck with boots lately, but these seem like keepers. For the full leather version, make sure you break them in *very* well before taking them on a major trip. I did not and developed heal blisters on a trip to Switzerland. Also, the stock insoles are terrible--no cushion or arch support--so plan on replacing them.

No problems, no blisters - couldnt be happier. They do run about a half a size small.

I'm going up to the dacks on monday and will be able to try them out more then, but so far they have been really great, a couple more outings and they should be broken in. Very happy with the purchase:)
