No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although this should be helpful and more advantageous in starting campfires than matches, it does not work. Even though it comes with a section of sawblade meant to scrape slivers of ferroceium off and then use the magnesium flint to ignite the slivers,it produces only dust that does not do much more than spark. Too much work, no success despite many tries. Not worth the effort, nor the price. If it weren't used, I'd return it.
