Comments: I've had this pack for two years now, and it works as well now as when I bought it. It saw a field season of daily use in the Smoky Mountains carrying survey equipment, and the rain fly was in daily use as well! It never let me down. I bought this to use as a day/overnight bag, and it suits this purpose but is just a little to small for overnight trips. You can almost fit a 20 degree bag in the bottom compartment, and despite my frequently overloading it nothing has ever broken. It is better as a large day pack. Also fits airline carry-on size requirements to a T, pack in this and forget checking anything!

Comments: took this pack backpacking in the Grand Canyon for 2 nights. I am a minimalist, and took only 25 lbs of stuff. It cannot handle any kind of heavy load. This pack has no metal stability inside, and kept bowing away from my body the entire time. I was in so much pain after the hike, and would not recommend this for any type of backpacking overnight trip. It would although be great for a day hike, but do you really need that much room?
