They seem more like a low-rise or a slouchy mid-rise. I usually prefer pants to sit at the natural waist. I have a small waist-to-hip ratio and have trouble finding pants and skirts to fit. I ordered a 6P and found the length to be at least 1-1/2" too long. The overall quality of fabric and construction appears to be quite good.

Also, the grey was lighter in shade than I expected for "Charcoal", though the fabric was in fact quite attractive and elegant. Order this pant a size larger, and expect a silvery grey with a bit of sheen.

A plus for me was that I took a chance and ordered a vest, and it matched! The black/brown combo weave offers great versatility for my color preferences. The fabric is smooth enough, while having an enhanced texture as well. Just a note...another color/fabric weave I ordered in the identical size did not fit: was too small.
