My tissues are thicker than this fabric! By Annoyed shopper from Sonoma Coast on 11/11/2008 Cons: Extremely thin fabric, Low Quality, Very poor quality Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This was to be an over shirt for a breezy location. Wouldn't even work to keep a breeze off my arms in the house!
By Tripchick from Pasadena, CA on 11/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy wash quick drying, Good ventilation, High Quality, Lightweight, Nice color choices, Security zip pocket Cons: No left chest velcro tab, Tuck-in shirt hem design, Women's pockets are small Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activites, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Traveler Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I own TONS of these Airstrip shirts and use them EVERY time I travel... and even when at home. They are great and the fabric is a brilliant invention. It washes well, dries quickly, packs light, and hardly wrinkles. The "dry fly lite" material is also light and soft to the touch -- great if you have sensitive skin. The fabric is breathable and the airstrips on the sides and back provide pretty decent ventilation.
However, here's my only criticism for ExOfficio: the differences between how they've designed men's vs. women's shirts. More and more these days, women want a lot of the same practical features men want in a shirt, yet ExOfficio seems not to recognize this. Consequently, I usually buy men's size small Airstrip shirts (which fit approximately like a women's roomy medium) because they have features the women's shirts don't have. The men's shirts have the highly desirable larger pockets, the velcro left chest tab for securing miscellaneous objects (e.g., sunglasses), and the straight shirt hem so you don't feel you have to tuck in the shirt. I just wish ExOfficio would apply this same practical design to women's shirts. The only reason I bought two women's shirts this time was because they were the colors I needed and the men's line just doesn't offer much in its range of color choices for me at the moment. So, it was a trade-off, I guess. I got the colors I needed, but had to compromise a bit on the shirt design.

It does tend to wrinkle, though.
