By Rick from Cleveland on 11/10/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathes Well, Classic Design, Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent shoes especially for travel and checking through the airport scan. Dressy enough to be a one pair of shoes for both business and casual.
I had the first pair resoled and that was a mistake as the side stiching wore out and the cost to repair was expensive.
It is to bad Trask has discontinued them as they have become a standard for my wardrobe. They did not require a break in period and the care for them only required the use of saddle soap and Trask Buffalo butter.
By CL Norris from Portland, OR on 11/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Classic Design Cons: Needs Break In, Too Stiff Best Uses: Going Out, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: All around uncomfortable shoe.
By tcirish98 from Tulsa, OK on 08/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Classic Design Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters, Too Stiff Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have purchased and estimated 20 pairs of HS Trask Shoes over the last 10 years and these are by far the most uncomfortable shoes. This brand is excellent and the style of these shoes was good for business casual attire, but even after using a shoe tree/stretcher these shoes are still too uncomfortable to wear.
