By Jules from Canberra, Australia on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Secure Fit Best Uses: Everyday/Practical Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have become a bif fan of Merrell shoes and my recent purchase of these hiking boots continues the love affair. I have previously only bought Scarpas but have to say I am a convert. Great advice from a previous buyer about going up a size, glad I did, allows me to wear warmer socks in winter. comfortable, durable, very usable shoe.
By les from CO from Colorado on 10/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Climbing, Hiking Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these hiking at Rocky Mountains, Colorado. They're comfortable, have great traction and stayed dry in the snow and water (but not fully immersed water). They were warm and secure as I climbed up and over boulders; no blisters or raw skin from hiking in them. I'm happy with these. I bought half a size larger to accmomodate thick wool socks.
GREAT LOOKING but too small By munrobagger from Scotland and FL on 10/09/2008 Pros: Nice looking, Waterproof Cons: Too short in toe area Describe Yourself: Environmentalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I should have known better and ordered a larger size but took the chance! I'm a perfect 9 and these were short in the toe area. Order at least 1/2 size larger. Very nice looking boot.
