The old pair worked great in the river, if pebbles got under your feet kind of wash them out. The new Toachi have drain slots in the soles, they just fill up with pebbles and the only way to get them out is pick them out with screwdriver like blade. Very uncomfortable with the rocks under your feet! I do like the toe guard, the main reason I bought the sandals. [...]

I wore them in Israel and Arizona. I wear them every day I can get away with casual. At first I thought they were dorky looking, but I even get comments about how they look "cool".
