It appears that it is entirely inconsistent, based on the reviews here – sometimes too large, sometimes too small.
I ordered both of these one-size-fits-all robes:
- “Bernard Waffle Weave Kimono”
- “Bernard Terry Velour Kimono”
The Terry Velour fits fine. The Waffle Weave did not come close to closing in the front – easily 8-10 inches TOO SMALL!
Too bad. The robe itself is of excellent quality – soft, lightweight and perfect for travel, but I am returning it.

It is lightweight, so great for summer, and so well made, it is luxurious. The best part, it launders beautifully so is always ready for the next guest!

So I will probably have to add that myself. Other than than I like the robe. In the summertime my other robes are just too hot. This one is the perfect weight for Colorado summer mornings.
