But for a beginner fly fisher, like myself, it is a starter reel. You can't beat the price, that's for sure.
By 1Bighand from Casa Grande, AZ on 08/25/2008 Pros: Durable, Reliable, Smooth Drag System Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Pawl part of the drag wore out in six months, used for warmwater pond fishing. Unbale to find this replaement part. Without it there is not drag and the spool over runs onto itself when stripping line out for a cast causing a birds nest.
