No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My 5 yr old enjoys easy easy on/off boot. High enough to put snow pants overtop and keep snow out. We never used drawcord, as he has these on and out the door in seconds. The liner in this boot is more substantial than some brands of boots. But it is not eay to dry when it does get wet. The liner was a great thing, though, since the entire top of the boot separated from the bottom at the seam you can see on the instep. The 2 pieces of rubber overlap only 1/8" and the stitching came out and the boot gaped open in a 6 inch long separation. I tried to 'instant'glue. Only held for a day. Tried duct tape. (Son thought it made it look like space boots) but it came off. His feet did stay dry despite this. Still, thankfully, Sierra Trading Post's super customer service and return policy allowed us to return this boot.
