Great Shoe-too bad it isn't available in By Betzgirls from Louisville, CO on 11/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe is versatile-loved it for walking around town, hiking hard packed trails and dog agility practice and competitions. I wore out the first pair and hoped I'd find another at Sierra Trading post. Unfortunately, my size 39 1/2 wasn't available.
By Jessica from Kapoho, Hawaii on 07/15/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these trail shoes specifically for wet weather runs but the day I first tried them was hot and dry.
I walked over many wet rocks and muddy terrain on another hike and they worked great.
They are a little heavier and less breathable than my other trail running shoes but that's the nature of a waterproof shoe.
Could use more padding and arch support for my type of foot - fortunately, I ordered a bigger size and after adding a gel insert they were comfortable enough.
These shoes are better for hiking than running.
The Vibram sole really grips and is non-skid.
They are very nice looking.
