Poles have a serious flaw (see below) By Sandy from New York City on 07/26/2008 Pros: Easy to adjust, Flexible, Lightweight, Strong Cons: After using bug repellent, Black goo got on my hands, Strap binding runs Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My comments were disjointed above. What I wanted to say is that after using bug repellent, the black plastic binding on the wrist straps ran and got black goo all over my hands and anything else I touched (my shorts, etc.) this is a serious flaw, as hikers are likely to use a bug repellent, and the poles are not usable if you have anything greasy on your hands.
