Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes were recommended to me by the members of my hiking/scrambling/climbing group. I got men's so I'd have room for thick socks, because my feet are a bit wide for Women's sizes. They grip well on the rock, and are intended for the trail, too. I only wear them to go scrambling on the rocks or climbing, so I put them on at the car and take them off when I'm done with the adventure. They are excellent for their purpose and I don't expect them to be good for everything.
