The length is perfect to keep me warm. There are deep inside pockets formed by the outside pockets. It's great! The fur is nice and soft. You won't be disappointed.

Due to the "furry" lining I don't think I will wear it on those unseasonable cold spring days for fear of looking too wintery, but it will be perfect for the fall,winter, and early spring. It is cut longer in the back than the front. The pockets are zipped which is great for stashing tissues, cell phone and keys . I ordered it in black also once I realized what a nice piece this was. Since I thought there might be times I would want to wear one with a heavier underlayer ordered the black in an x-large (my blue vest is a size large). The large and x-large aren't all that different in size. For reference I usually wear a size 10.
