Down substitute comforter By Max from Ithaca, NY on 03/12/2008 Pros: Ample size, Attractive Design Cons: overpriced, even for STP, Poor Insulation Best Uses: Spring/Fall, Summer, Winter Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, High-End Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This comforter is light and large enough to drape over a King sized bed. The insulation is essentially clustered in the middle of each big sewn box, so it is not uniformly warm. But it is warm. The cover is luxurious. I will keep it, although it is less in quality than I expected. I plan to use it always with a duvet cover, both because its size makes it hard to clean at home and because it will be more uniformly insulated that way.
