Great, no...Awesome... water shoes By Retired and OUTSIDE! from New Hampshire on 08/14/2008 Pros: Function and comfort Describe Yourself: Intermediate Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Picked these up as a replacement for another brand I'd been using for several years, and what a surprise. Slipped them on for a try the day they arrived and have been wearing them around everywhere ever since. Great and functional in the water, they're also amazingly comfortable for everything else. Good choice. The "lacing" system is only SLIGHTLY less convenient than some on other brands.

These shoes are great for the price they were offered for here. The traction is great on weathered basalt (very slick) and the toe protection is great for kayak portaging. They are a little difficult to fit into a creek boat. The major issues I have with them are that they smell terrible after the river, (Teva really should have put some thought into that one), and that sticks go through the drain ports really easily... too easily. none of them went through the flimsy insole that teva puts in. I put my own insoles in so now it should be better. Overall great shoes, but some issues that I think are fairly major.
