No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I originally bought a size 8 using the size charts on the Hickey Freeman website. It was too small for my 5 year old son and I exchanged it for a size 10. Size 10 was a good fit until washed and line dried (per manufacturers directions). It shrunk more than a full size. It is a well made shirt and had a flattering look when it fit.
