By Sten from San Jose, CA on 08/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features, Poor Ventilation Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Purchased this specifically for a trip to Denali National Park, Alaska. This summer has been Alaska's wettest in years. We backpacked for five rainy days and Frogg Toggs kept me surprisingly dry, with the following exceptions:
* When setting up camp, bending over and reaching to the ground, etc. the jacket lifts up over the back of the pants and water runs down the rear. It seems both the pants and the jacket need to be lengthened in these areas to prevent this.
* Bending over also pulled the pants up from my boots allowing water to run down into the boots. Again this is a sizing issue.
* When on my knees on muddy ground water seeps through, though this is an issue with most breathable rain gear I've used. If water is "pushed" into the material it will seep through.
Even with these shortcomings I would recommend this to a friend, particularly for the price/performance ratio
