These boots will not keep your feet dry By Soggy socks and prune toes from New York on 07/21/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited when I first put on these shoes. The shoes felt great - very light and as comfy as a sneaker. Calling these shoes boots is a bit of a stretch, they are just really glorified trail runners. These shoes are suitable for hikes that are dry (they leak), not too long (the sole is very flexible), not too steep (or your toes will jam into the front) and not too rocky (they provide modest ankle support) - overall walking on easy to moderate trails without a pack. The gortex began to pull away from the sole after about a week of light use and now my feet get wet with the slightest dew on the grass. There is a reason this product is discontinued.
