I have been using Dr. Slick's Side Cutter clamps for about six years. It's very versatile and replaces several separate tools. You can cut mono with it, trim flies or indicators, mash barbs or use it as a hemostat.
Plus they really last -- The only reason I have ever had needed to replace mine is because I periodically lose them in the river. Something I do all too frequently. Fortunately, at this price, it's not quite as painful when I do that.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Dr. Slick has quality forceps. If you fish a lot you appreciate this quality. These are very sturdy, good for hook removal, pinching split shot and doing odds and ends snipping. A handy little tool for sure.
