Closeouts. Mulholland's 21" rolling carry-on bag is handmade by artisans whose pride and skill are conveyed in every detail. The Lariat leather has a wonderful dusty patina that gives it a robust aesthetic -- like it has traveled around the world a time or two. Hides are cured with natural vegetable extracts, yielding a rich honey-brown hue. Waxy tannins rise to the surface over time and enhance the leather's character with natural marks. Don't judge a book by its cover. By Botash from Everett, MA on 05/11/2008 Pros: Compliments galore, Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality, Shades beautifully, Truely efficient, Zippers are wonderful Cons: Leather tears easily, Tears Easily, Tears near corners Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: CHIC, Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Modern, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Each time as we start out on any journey,we are complimented on this suitcase...no matter what!!From our front doorstep to our destination! We enjoy both the design, craftsmanship and function as well. We bought two!...TWO!!However, there should be NO REASON a leather carry-on valued at [$]should tear near the corners. We bought these to match our two cognac leather carry-on bags believing we would never have to worry about quality with leather...WRONG!!! We would have had more quality and value purchasing the highest end suitcase from Costco for hundreds less!
Nice Bag with fragile wheels By Beachpaul from Long Island New York on 03/11/2008 Describe Yourself: Career, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Really waited a while to work up the "courage" to invest in this bag. Chose this to differentiate myself from all the Tumi handlers out there. Boy was it a mistake. Returning from my first week away with the bag, the front support that holds the bag upright broke off. Shipping back was a painful prospect and besides I had a business trip less than 2 weeks away so I took it to my luggage repairman who admired the leather and the zippers but pointed out the fragility of some of the other parts and then fixed it in such a way that it is functional, but looks a bit funky.
Next time I go with a product developed by a team who knows what they are doing!
