Comments: I use these boots for backpack hunting and mountain hunting. I needed something that offered good support for off trail hiking with a 65 lb back pack (heavier when I pack out game) but also would work for scrambling up scree or packing meat down from a ridge line. These boots are stiff enough for mountaineering but comfortable for straight ahead hiking. I like the quick lacing hook that holds the foot half of the lacing tight while you lace the ankle part. The tread is agressive and the lining thick and adjustable. I have only worn them for about 10 miles so far but I haven't had any hot spots. The toe box is big. I usually rub my left big toe nail on boots and have had it turn black and fall off a couple times with other boots. I don't think this will happen with these boots.

Comments: Just finished doing some of the peaks in the Caucusus's using these for terrain below 5000 metres. Above that used plastics due to the cold rather than anything else. The boots held up well, took all the rough and tumble and stayed dry the whole time. Will be a permanent part of the climbing kit from now on.

Comments: I bought these for work, at certain times I need a heavy stiff sole. These boots are very comfortable, but heavy and stiff. If you're looking for something to run around town with these are not it. Lacing and unlacing are a little different than a regular hiker. Takes a little more time, but they stay tight once you're done. I find my self wearing the Asolo 85's & 95's most of the time. I'll probably wear the Titans more in the winter. For their intended purpose these are excellent boots.
