Multi-use as a fall & summer shell, plus add a fleece for winter warmth. Love the small pocket on the arm instead of inside the jacket. The standard pockets are positioned for handwarming, not high on the body like many shells meant for use with a backpack. Looks great & works even better. Been a Marmot user for 17 years & this is the best one I've had yet. Highly recommended.
