The arms are designed for someone with enormous biceps, a decently-sized chest, and small hips. I'd say it would be great for layering, but the bottom fits so snugly already, even around my relatively small hips. I bought the wild berry color and love it. The softshell fabric is fantastic. Very smooth and soft.
