I am average height/weight, not short-waisted, and do not usually have trouble fitting A-line type dresses. My hips are a little bigger proportionally than most women's, so normal women might have no trouble with this aspect of the fit. If you had a tall, willowy frame, you would probably find the fit made to order.

However, it is a very heavy fabric. My friends suggested I make drapes or recover a chair with it, as it feels like upholstery. Tight thru the hips/waist and just looks awfully dowdy when you get it on. I've already returned it.
