I also found them a bit that way, but they fit well, & I don't find them binding or uncomfortable at all. They can be dressed up for office or going out, or dressed down....in all, a rather versatile pair of cropped slacks that I would buy in another color if they were available.

I ordered the yellow, and the fabric is so thin I could see the pattern of my undergarments through them. Frustrating. They would probably work well for someone with a small waist, larger hips, and who likes a long rise. They didn't work for me.
