They are indeed great for a tall woman, and they are a very classic, long, lean look. They're very slimming. I have proportionately larger hips and a smaller waist, and these slacks fit beautifully. They give a polished appearance and they don't wrinkle. I hesitated because of the price, but completely thrilled with them and bought two more colors.
