Craft make highly functional apparel for nordic skiing, cycling, running, etc. The Pro S3 Wind Shorts are no exception. I use them for skiing, snow shoeing, and winter running. This base layer wicks sweat away from your body while keeping you protected from cold and wind. These shorts are a better alternative than a full length base layer because they will not restrict the movement of your knees like the latter will.
Craft sizing info is usually right on target. I have many Craft pieces sized 'Large' that fit perfectly. I bought a pair of these shorts (size 'Large') from a retailer. They fit, but were a little snug, so I purchased two other pair from STP sized 'XL'. I would recommend that if you are on the margins of the sizing chart to go a size larger.
