By Diesel from Michigan on 11/11/2008 Pros: Comfort, Highest quality, Superior closures Cons: Lack of carbon sole plate Best Uses: Everyday riding, Long-distance riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have problematic feet, and the Sidi's work great for me. They seem to run a little narrow, so if you think you might want the "Mega" model (the wider sized shoes), you're probably right. Break in is fast, and they only get more comfortable with time. The only negative that I can spot is that most other shoes at this pricepoint have at least a partial carbon, if not a full carbon sole plate. I got a smokin' deal on them from Sierra Trading Post...thanks!!!
It doesn't get much better than Sidi Dom By Mr. Fly from Sunnyvale, CA on 11/10/2008 Cons: Look like bike shoes Best Uses: Commuter shoes, Everyday riding, Fast club rides Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing Dominators since their version 2 from mid-90's. They have been very comfortable, very durable and are quite stylish without being gaudy. Mostly, I use them for non-competitive rides (on and off-road) and commutes as the ability to walk (vs. "real" road shoes) is a big plus for me.
Unfortunately, like most good things, they're quite expensive at RRP. However, with the STP sale price, I bought two pairs (in addition to two I already own) so I'll be set for the foreseeable future.
