Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I live at 8,300' in Colorado. I'm a volunteer firefighter, and sawyer, and run plows and tractors in the winter. In other words, I spend a lot of time outside, typically in boots. Rohner makes the best socks. Cotton may feel cooler than wool, but once your feet start to sweat, it gets wet, and you've got blisters. Wool has natural lanolin, which reduces friction. I probably buy about half a dozen pair of these a year, and have done that for at least five years. They last a long time, but eventually will wear out. If your boots fit, the socks last much longer. If you're slipping around, you'll wear out any sock. I wear them in everything from a Merrell sneaker to a full blown La Sportiva hiking boot.
I NEVER put them in the dryer, but hang them to dry.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This sock is very comfortable with a lot of cushion. It does make my hiking boots feel a little snug but it does not rub anywhere. I thought it was a good value.
