I tried two sizes; my regular size, which was too big and too wide, and a half size smaller, which was too short.
Too bad, because they would have been very functional shoes if they had fit.

I find it difficult to keep this style of shoe on, but these fit perfectly without gapping or slipping. The only possible drawback might be for people who have big toes that curl upward because the toe area is moderately shallow.

I wear a size 10. size 41 pressed on my toe. I tried 42 and they were just too big and wide everywhere.
If your toes taper, that is if your big toe angles toward your other toes (I guess other people's feet often have this feature) you'll be fine.
