Saucony evolved from the 1910 shoe store of Russian immigrant cobbler, Abraham Hyde in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They produced footwear for NASA astronauts in the ‘60’s, and in 1968 they acquired the Saucony Shoe Company, a small running shoe company known but to a small group of serious runners. I've purchased other Saucony running shoes and these are better because the tread is nice and flat for road running. Love them!
