By Stumpjumper Jeff from Charles Town, West Virginia on 10/05/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Design Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm always concerned with ticks, so I thought I would give these a try. Hard to say if they work, since I didn't have anything to compare (no, I wasn't dedicated enough to wear a regular sock on one foot, etc.), but I didn't have any ticks or mosquito bites on my ankles. Regardless, they fit well and are comfortable hiking socks. Good enough for me!
nice looking a very functional By Just call me David from Grand Rapids, MI on 10/05/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice shirt. Spent a day on the river flyfishing in this shirt: 70 degrees, sunny and I was never hot. Had thin wicking t-shirt underneath, comfortable the whole day from cool am to warmer afternoon. Have worn it out at night, nicely pressed (ok - I'm a little "neat"), and it looked nice as a casual evening out shirt. Would love to buy more in other colors.
By Stumpjumper Jeff from Charles Town, West Virginia on 10/05/2008 Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Yard work Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had my doubts, but wearing the bandana on my head while walking on the AT I noticed lots of gnats, but none of them landed on my face. Can't beat that!
By FL Gal from Florida on 09/30/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Comments: I am so disappointed that I have to return these. They are WAY too big. They are really high waisted. They are longer than advertised. And the rear is extremely baggy (and I am kind of large in that area, so they will be really baggy on others!) It is too bad b/c the fabric is awesome.
Nice material & performance; strange fit By Me from Massachusetts on 09/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Washes Well Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts were just the thing for paddling in hot weather because they were cool, dried quickly and were sturdy, but the fit was a little strange. Overall they were a bit loose, but one of the legs seemed to be cut smaller than the other, which made it tight on one side and loose on the other.
By Mainiac from Portland, ME on 09/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality Comments: I agree with a previous poster that this shirt runs small, though somehow I guessed that and ordered up. I find that I reach for this shirt all the time on the weekends. The only thing that bugs me about it is that it's too short waisted. (But I am tall.) The fabric is still a bit of a mystery to me... I was expecting the normal "slinky" of performance wear, but it's more the texture of a cotton tshirt.

I find myself reaching for it often as an extra layer.

By Likes 'em loose from WA on 09/22/2008 Cons: Sleeves Too Long, Sleeves too tight, Too clingy Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric is very lightweight and soft, and the shirt appears to be very well made. However, it is styled to be very snug and form-fitting and isn't meant to be worn over the top of another shirt. The sleeves are uncomfortably snug in the upper arms. The styling includes very long sleeves that hang over the hands, with holes for the thumbs to hook into (this not described in the product information, and is a look that I do not like or want to wear). I'm returning this shirt.
