They are the second pair of Glycerin 5s I've owned and they're the best shoes I've ever tried.
By La Jolla shopper from ca on 08/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding, Versatile Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are terrific shoes - really well engineered and constructed. Unfortunately, I only discovered that I am a neutral- to under-pronator after I ordered them. I'll have to send the shoes back as they aren't designed for my feet. I almost wish I were an over-pronator just so I could benefit from these shoes :-)
Best shoe for severe over pronators By nurse lena from howard beach, new york on 08/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, great arch support Best Uses: Endurance Training Describe Yourself: Rarely Workout Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Since fracturing an ankle years ago, I have been a collector of every running/walking shoe on the market. Was unable to walk anywhere without pain until this running shoe. Walk all over with no pain. Severe overpronation also a big problem but not anymore. I bought one pair of Brooks addiction 7 and not a pain or ache. Recently bought 4 more pairs due to low price and fear of not finding them any more. If you have severe over pronation, give them a try. You couldn't turn over on these if you wanted to.
By La from NJ on 08/20/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding, Versatile Best Uses: Pavement, Strength Training, Trails Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an extremely comfortable sneaker. Excellent support. The style is trim. Many sneakers have that wide foot look that makes your foot look much wider than they are.
By rx4jammin from rocky mtns, colorado on 08/17/2008 Describe Yourself: But still durable, Well worn Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The hat isn't as large as I hoped it would be. I'll wear it anyway. Maybe it'll make my head smaller.
By Super Mom from Washington DC on 08/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Supportive Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My son recommended Brooks as his favorite brand. I liked the unusual color of the shoes. I ordered them to wear running while on vacation. They were great on all terrain: beach, trail, street.
By Running Runner from Rochester Ny on 08/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement, Trails Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I run 50-60 miles per week and also lift about 3 times per week. I compete for a post-collegiate cross-country team and in various road races (5K-half marathon). I use these shoes as trainers (not for racing). They are great for higher mileage, hold their shape well (don't get loose or stretch out) and have a decent amount of forefoot cushioning which a lot of distance trainers lack.
By delicateflower152 from San Antonio, TX on 08/15/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Brooks running shoes and thought these would provide some extra support for treadmilling. I was really disappointed since there seemed to be virtually no support in the arch.
