By AC from midwest on 07/23/2008 Pros: Easy To Refill, Good Water Flow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a hydration pack, read the reviews on this one and it was priced right, so I bought it. It is fair. It seems to work well; however, it does not keep liquids cold long and you have to use a pump to start the water flow from the resevoir. Pumping up this thing up gives the sensation of having a blood pressure arm band inflated for an extended duration. It's uncomfortable to me. Plus, it's bulky. I was hoping to use it on long mountain bike rides but there's no way -- I'm not even using it on short/long hikes.

By trail dog from Lancaster PA on 07/08/2008 Pros: Easy To Refill, Highly Adjustable Best Uses: Running, Trail Running Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was hoping the air bladder would be seperate to eliminate the sloshing. It does ride up as it empties but the belt adjustment is easily reached. Seems well constructed and easy to clean.

By Budget Mom from Cedar Rapids, Ia on 07/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Refill, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my 12 year old son for scout camp since they walk a lot in the heat and have limited access to water at times. He likes it. It is not too big and easy to use. I have trouble sometimes getting the water to flow but my son if fine with it. We have only used this for walking and not for running or biking. Good price.
Sounds better than it is. By Canoe guy from Cincinnati, Ohio on 06/24/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Water Flow, Stable Cons: Too complicated for such, Too small to be practical Best Uses: Extended Hikes, Too small to be practical, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend The filling process is complicated, the pumping for pressure process is insufficient to be very useful.
The size is way too small to be of much use. You can easily drain the entire package with a couple of small drinks. To me it is just not practical.
By Sue B. Tucson from Tucson AZ on 06/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Refill Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought I could use this while running but in general, I don't like to run with something around my waist. This product didn't work for me for running. However, it's a very nice product otherwise and I will use it for hiking. It is very easy to fill, the pack is quite nice with pockets and it's comfortable while hiking. I'm not too sure how well the air pump works. Maybe I didn't pump it up enough because I still had to suck to get enough water.
