When it arrived I was delighted with it's quality--a gracious shade and handsome wooden base. I liked it so much that I have ordered another and am going to use them to frame the couch in the Living Room. These lamps are all they claim to be. The wooden base winds up to the top of the lamp. The shade is in two layers, with gathered pleats on the outside. It is simple to put together and use.

Although this lamp is quite tall for a table lamp, I like its clean, modern lines. And it's good for reading.

Unfortunately the shade was badly bent and I had to return it. I did not reorder because it was really to tall for the place I planned to use it.

Nice height. Nice weight. Good quality. The picture is a pretty good indication of how the lamp looks; one minor exception is that I find the lamp shade to be darker -- a bit more khaki, slightly olive in color, which I still find to be attractive. Very nice all around.
