Tsubo

Tsubo

Tsubo, which means pressure point in Japanese, is a progressive, design-driven company founded by Patrick McNulty and British designer Nick O’Rourke in 1997. O'Rourke, who spent seven years designing for Reebok, carved a niche for Tsubo that fused urban style with unique ergonomic design. Some of the firm’s most inventive features include flexible, supportive construction and Tsubo’s custom shock-absorbing bubbles. Ten years from its inception, Tsubo is now recognized as a footwear trendsetter and is sold in markets worldwide.

Just got my shoes and love them! Super comfortable (I ordered a half size bigger on Sierra's recommendation.) They are drop-dead cute for sneakers--not clunky boxes. Don't know how they wear or stain, but I hope they last for a really long time.

The advice to get the wide size was worth gold. I got my regular size, but the wide variety, and the shoe is so comfortable. very cute urban design, too. I wore them the first day to the zoo, and no blisters. get them!

I wanted a pair of shoes to wear to work everyday. We're a dress-down, blue jeans with collared shirt kind of company, and these fit the bill to a tee.

Great shoes for [$]. I was hesitant to take a chance on them because they look so funky in the pics. Well, they are funky, but not too much. Not as comfy as my Sanuks, but what is? I have been wearing these for a about a week, and have no regrets.

A little pain for fashion
By M!B!E!Verified Purchaser from Cambridge, MA on 07/29/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Fashionable
Cons:
Only comes in whole sizes, Slightly narrow
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

When it comes to fashion I am picky: I like to look decent without looking like I'm trying. These shoes fit that bill. Most other shoes are either too "fashionable" (read: over-designed) or not fashionable at all. These look good with either pants or shorts, jeans or something a little nicer. Though these are slightly narrow (narrower than any other Tsubos I've owned), they're still comfortable enough for me to be on my feet for eight hours a day. I wear somewhere between a 9-1/2 and a 10, and these feel like a true-to-size 10, which means they're a little bit long on me. This makes them feel slightly floppy when I'm walking and also as if they're bending in the wrong place if I crouch. Ah well, small prices to pay for an otherwise good shoe. I spent MONTHS looking for shoes that were both fashionable and comfortable, and I'm glad I finally found this shoe. And since STP was offering these for more than 60% off the price on other websites it was too much to pass up!
