Allen Madison Breathable Waders - Stockingfoot (For Men)

Great functionality, fit is a little off
By GreenscalesVerified Reviewer from Carlsbad, CA on 02/25/2010
Pros:
Breathable, Dries Quickly, Easy To Take On And Off, Good Footing, Tough Material, Zip Front Rocks
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I use my waders a few days a week fishing the Pacific Coast from kayak. Most do not last long do to wear and tear on the seat and upper legs - where the paddle rests. These waders are reinforced w/heavier fabric at those exact areas. The front zipper has good length and works well - great for layering and quick access if needed for long days on the water (use your imagination). Buy a little bigger if you have a larger upper body(I returned a large) because the waders seem a little short/narrow in the upperbody in proportion to the leg length. Needs a gusseted crotch for mobility/comfort. Othewise excellent, I was able to move around enough to land 2 Thresher Sharks and a 100lb. Black Sea Bass on the first few trips.

Comments:
I'm 6'3" 190 and have never had luck finding waders that actually fit, it seems that if you are over 6ft with a size 12 or larger shoe they assume you must be around 230-250lbs. The large fits me perfectly with the right amount of room for layering for those long days in cold trout streams.

Allen Web Wader Belt - Nylon, Quick-Release Buckle

A Good Belt for Winter Sports
By DaVerified Purchaser from Hopkinton, MA on 02/02/2010
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Salt Water, Ski Belt, Traveling, Winter Sports Pants
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I got this belt to use on some ski pants and winter sports pants. It is wide enough to provide support, yet it still fits through the belt loops. The plastic buckle is comfortable and won't rust, but I do worry about durability. The belt was a bit tough to trim and you need to melt the cut edges with a flame so that it doesn't fray. Other than that, it was a good choice for my purposes.

It's a wader belt & it's cheap
By Fish, EsqVerified Purchaser from PHX, AZ on 01/28/2010
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Fly fising
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:

Comments:
Like I said, it's a wader belt and it's cheap. The buckle is big and can be difficult open (it is kind of tight to open it), but it will do the job. Always good to have a spare belt in your bag for when you forget yours (or you friend forgets his).

Around $200 with a zipper. Good deal. Used for a week in Chile'. Easy on and off. Sturdy. True to size but if you like to wear heavy multiple layers on the top order one size larger. If these last I will buy this brand and model again. Very happy with these waders.
