Gear Usage:

Comments: I orders 6 scarves for my friends as we row in hot, humid weather. I thought this would be great for racing esp in humid weather. Tried them today after following instructions. They didn't stay cold for any length of time and the one scarf spilled its contents after tying it on. All that grainy stuff came out.

Comments: I bought this compass for my teenage son who was intimidated by having to negotiate public transportation and pedestrian traffic to and from his summer job downtown. Not only did this compass give him practical assistance, just carrying it gave him confidence to explore his busy and confusing environment. Now he's teaching me the uses of this fabulous instrument.

Describe Yourself:
High-End Shopper
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: These knives do not seem up to the same quality standards as the other Laguole products I own. I am reminded of products manufactured specifically for an outlet store rather than first quality items.
Not the Best of Travel Belts
By Polybius from D.C. on 7/12/2008
Describe Yourself:
Casual
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: This model has the anchor points for the belt piece in the middle of the pouch. As a result, the top portion folds down annoyingly, and the pouch doesn't sit very well on the waist. It also lacks a pocked designed for a passport, which seems a major oversight for something like this. That said, it has plenty of slots for credit cards, and an easily accessed outer zip pocket for cash that you might need on short notice. The design, except for the belt attachments, is acceptable, but there are better pouches than this for comparable prices. This isn't really a travel item you want to skimp on. I will be replacing this.

By The Fall Guy from Pittsburgh, PA on 7/11/2008
Cons:
Difficult To Read, Inaccurate
Describe Yourself:
Some Guy
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: The compass housing on my unit was too tight against the needle. When I turned the housing the needle would turn and stick this led to inaccurate or untrustworthy readings.

Best Uses:
Road Trips, Survival
Describe Yourself:
Outdoor Enthusiast
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: This is something I would keep in a first aid kit or 72 hour kit. I can't say that I would ever use this card unless I needed it to survive - hence the name of the product. The quality is average, and this might make a good gift for someone who needs such a survival card for any type of emergency kit.
