Sorel

Sorel

Canadians know a thing or two about cold weather, so it’s not surprising they were behind one of the most popular cold-weather boots ever created. Sorel - founded in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1908 - is perhaps best known for the ubiquitous Caribou, a boot that pioneered the use of a unique material that reflected heat back to the foot. This reflective material was incorporated into Sorel’s advanced four-layer construction process that includes a weather-resistant shell, wicking liners and ThermoPlus® felt inner liners to keep feet dry and toasty. Now nearly a century old, Sorel continues to meet the rigorous demands of today’s active lifestyles - from snowmobiling to snowshoeing, sledding to skiing - with its highly respected line of footwear and apparel.

These are really comfortable & have great traction. I took other reviewer's advice & ordered a size larger than I normally wear. They are perfect. I also like the zipper instead of laces...easy on & off which is great when coming in out of the snow.

These boots feel like slippers. I am a dog walker and wore these all winter long. Kept my feet warm & dry in 0*F, 6" of slush, rain and snow storm after snow storm. No break in period.

Comments:
I use these boots walking to and from my classes, as well as hunting in the woods. The pull loop at the top of the boot prevents snow from cascading in and keeps the cold out of the boot. The only thing I noticed is they run about half a size too large, which prevents me from using them to drive my stick shift truck.
