By flying gal from Tampa, FL on 08/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For the casual runner like me, (3-4 miles up to 5 days a week), these shoes are a great value - extremely lightweight and comfortable. They definitely run small, so the warnings about ordering at least a half-size larger should be heeded. I haven't had them for long, so I don't know how they will hold up, but so far they're perfect.

Great Runners Right Out of the Box By LaLaine by the Sea from Soquel, CA on 08/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Fast, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I've used Avias before, and found them to be comfortable right out of the box; this shoe is no exception. Although I was a little hesitant because of the attention-grabbing color, the reviews (especially from most of the runners) convinced me to give these a try--and I'm glad I did! These Avias are springy, light, breathable, and make you just want to go for a run the moment you put them on.
A few people were unhappy with the snug heel, but for me at least, this soft, form-hugging heel design is a big plus--it keeps the shoe securely on your foot like a cushioned glove, regardless of the terrain you're on.
My foot is a classic size 7, and the 7 that I received is just right--probably a little more snug than most 7's I've bought in the past, but in the case of this shoe, it's not a problem. The material is soft and has enough give to offer comfort and resiliency.
And yes, the color is growing on me.
