Compact and wind-up, a great combination By Wending My Way from Monterey Bay area, CA on 09/02/2008 Pros: Easy to Use, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Commuting, Long Rides Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Haven't had it very long so I can't attribute to its durability, but so far, I'm very pleased with it. It also can double as a pocket sized flashlight, easily detaches from bike mount. Windup mechanism is easy to use. Never needs batteries, so you will never be stuck with a dying light out in the middle of nowhere.
On arrival, it was strangely dusty on the inside of the package, smelled strongly of chemicals and was curiously scuffed, but packaging was intact and product works just fine. The smell has gone away soon after opening.

These chairs and footrests are an unbelievable value! Very sturdy, very comfortable. Just used some teak oil to enhance the waterproofing.

By nyc5bbctripper from New York, NY on 08/26/2008 Pros: Easy to Use, Lightweight, Versatile Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend We had this hand-crank bicycle light with us when we went camping, and it worked really well. I bought it for my daughter, and she used it on her bike, full beam, at night, going to town and back, as well as for getting around the campground. She loved winding it up before sacking out, which was an unexpected plus. And it was always bright. Most important, it proved a reliable back up, when our tent light batteries went.
We havent biked with it in the rain yet, though.
By Hong from MA on 08/24/2008 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Long battery life, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend It has worked fine for me.
There are two issues that I have had:
1. Unlike my other headlamp, the battery pack is separated from the headlamp and connected to it via a wire. One needs to find a proper place for securying the battery pack. I clipped it to my belt but it fell quite a few times.
2. The bulbs are so close to rim that there is some light shone on my glasses creating soem glare effect. If you do not wear eye glasses, this should not be an issue
Versitile headlamp could be more so By Luke Rockwalker from DougCo., OR on 08/15/2008 Pros: Crank charger, High or flashing beam Cons: Needs USB for full charge, No low beam setting, White light bluish Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only two beam settings (high & flashing) instead of three as stated.
Good materials, screwed-up execution By mikey from weston, ma on 08/09/2008 Pros: High quality materials, Weather Proof Cons: Mistakes in design, Tough To Assemble Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: [...]Good materials are marred by mistakes in execution. Drill holes don't line-up, one part had holes on the wrong face. The chairs will need reinforcement from a couple of brackets because of these flaws...totally unacceptable. The only reason I didn't send back is because the materials are worth it and the annoyance of returning.
Great for the beer patio ... Very comfortable and heavy enough not to blow away. Assembly was easy. We'll see how it holds up in a Montana winter outside ...
By Blondie from Marietta, GA on 08/05/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Weather Proof Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great bargain for teak. The chair is very comfortable and has nice wide armrests to hold drinks. It's stained a nice cinnamon color, although there is a fair amount of variation in color between each slat. I imagine that will weather out in time though. Assembly was not simple however. The predrilled holes did not match up and had we had to drill them again to get the chair to go together. The package of screws that were included came open in transit and were rolling around loose in the box. They damaged one of the armrests slightly and a couple got lost. Even with the assembly hassle we are very pleased with the chairs.
