I like the way it beads water and is washable. It is really soft and works good in the vehicles.
By Larence from Coeur d' Alene, ID on 08/18/2008 Pros: Easy to Put On, Good Quality, Washes Well Describe Yourself: Single Dog Owner Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My 60 lb dog used the pack on a five night, six day backpacking trip in the Idaho wilderness. She carried in her pack freeze dried dog food, her bowl, and her small first aid kit. It didn't seem to bother her.
My dog is a lab and loves the water. Whenever we came to a lake she would jump in it and the contents in her pack would get wet, so makesure you put everything that is inside the pack into waterproof containers.
There was another dog hiking with us that was the same weight/size as my dog and he had a bigger Ruff Wear dog pack and he seemed to do well with it. So maybe a bigger Ollydog pack would be okay for my dog.
The Ruff Wear packs are a better quality pack, but I am sure they cost much more and I am not sure they are waterproof.
By Larence from Coeur d' Alene, ID on 08/18/2008 Describe Yourself: New Owner Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The bowl's sinch portion is nice for storing food but it does get annoying when I have to fold it around the outside of the bag. The large is way too large for my 60 lb dog. A one time serving for her could probably fit into a small bowl. Why would you want to store or carry around anymore than that in the bowl? You would have to take out anymore than one feeding portion in order to feed your dog.

By chloe from NH on 08/13/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Soft Best Uses: Indoors, Small Pets Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bed is very soft. Small size makes it perfect to move around from floor to couch etc. However beware, my dog is 25 lbs and we bought a large thinking there would be ample room - just big enough. Our dog has not decided it is the perfect place to sleep yet, but is very possevive of her new bed often dragging it under the table for safe keeping.

She is crate trained;I use this as an extra place for her to lounge. The bed is well made, very attractive, and perfect for my dog.

She wears it on walks around the neighborhood with water bottles in the pockets to weigh her down. We haven't tried it on a hike yet, but so far so good.
